Hi guys, is there a way to change or add sof2 v1.00. i see there is (and working) the protocol for sof2 gold edition v1.03 but for sof2 v1.00 it show up the server but not the onlyne players + its stats. is there a way to add or edit it? thx.

Any protocol can be edited if there's reason enough...
So this sof2 v1.00 is an older version then? I don't know this game.
How can I find some v1.00 servers for testing? Give us 2 or 3 IPs/ports so we can see what you are talking about.

hi Wussie u can use mine is up and running 24/7. sof2 was born in 2002 as v1.00 after that raven software has released the patch for v1.03 what u added in your module. a lot of ppl play full 1.00. donno if this could help:

these r all sof2 server, someone is v1.00 someone v1.03. your module works only with v1.03 and only with server with 20100 port. it should work for every poort and every server!

LOL Teo this is most definitely NOT my module! Haven't you noticed that little text at the bottom of your page? it says "LGSL 5.8 By Richard Perry" not "by Wussie". I'm just a humble user like yourself, trying to help others to the best of my understanding...
I have no time nor the desire to download/install sof2 just to be able to test LGSL on it. I only needed a v1.00 server IP/port for this and I took it from your website, but it seems like your server is not as 24/7 as you said it would be...

I did try looking up sof2 servers on gametracker but, as you well know, most of them are running v1.02/1.03 which work just fine in LGSL, so that was not much help either. That's why I asked for a few IPs of known (and populated) v1.00 servers, so I can do the tests.
Anyway, it seems that you were right about players not being shown for v1.00 and I will look into it these days.

oke donno why my server was running and up but my internet provifer had problems so my 20100 port was closed from them. :/ sorry but is always this way when u need something u get a new problem.. btw my server is running. i list in here some server u need to test:

95.211.38.102:20160
213.163.68.175:20100
95.211.38.104:20180
95.211.38.104:20190

be carreful that when u entry for exeple the 2160 port, it could return u the IP players with the 20100 port default and it is wrong because it has to pint the IP with the 20160 port.

and ye i can read the copyrights.

I found the problem with v1.00 servers: they only report score, ping and name for every player, while newer versions also report deaths. This difference breaks the pattern for the preg_match() function, causing player info not to be displayed at all.
To compensate for this difference, you need to edit lgsl_protocol.php: look under "lgsl_query_02(...)" further down, find
elseif ($server['b']['type'] == "sof2") // (SCORE) (PING) (DEATHS) "(NAME)"
{
$pattern = "/(.*) (.*) (.*) "(.*)\"/"; $fields = array(1=>"score", 2=>"ping", 3=>"deaths", 4=>"name");
and replace with

You may notice that I also replaced "deaths" with "team", because that's what I believe that field really means. The "team" info will only be shown for newer versions of sof2 ofcourse. You are welcome to verify if I was right about this or is it "deaths" after all...

One more thing if you want spectators to be shown as "no team" instead of "team 3": look a few lines down, find
if (isset($match[$match_key])) { $server['p'][$player_key][$field_name] = trim($match[$match_key]); }
and replace with
if (isset($match[$match_key])) {
$val = trim($match[$match_key]);

That's it, all versions should work fine! Let me know if it works for you.

but is still up the port issue. for exemple for the 95.211.38.102:20160 server, or for those which have a differe port than 20100 it doesnt as i mentioned in my previous post.

I can see nothing wrong with scores, check out my page and see for yourself. Some players (mostly bots) have negative scores, is that correct? I don't know about sof2, but I know in q3 this is entirely possible.

You keep saying there's a problem with ports, but it works on any port if you specify the query port right.
Just make sure you enter the correct query port q_port = c_port in the database, or even leave it empty, as the script will automatically set it equal to the connection port. It has to be q_port = c_port for sof2 or else it won't work.

You noticed that my page and your page monitor the same server, that's fine. The difference is that my page shows the server online with all the players and details while yours shows it offline.
I suggested that maybe your webhost is blocking responses from servers un port 20160udp and probably all other udp communication, causing your page to show every server offline, except for port 20100udp.

If you intended to ask some question, it looks like I missed it. So what was the question?

Teo, take a deep breath and calm yourself. I'm just trying to help and I know you're frustrated.
I realize that our pages are set up with the same IP and port, in fact I did set up my page exactly like yours just to prove to you that it should work.
I think that your page doesn't work because the webhost, meaning the computer that's hosting your website, has a firewall and it probably is blocking responses from the game server.
My webhost has a properly configured firewall and so it gets responses from all game servers and is able to monitor them.

I know that you can monitor servers on port 20100. Please check if you can monitor servers on other ports, and even other games; if you can't, then I was probably right about that firewall and you should seek a solution at your hosting provider.
