Hi alexis!
Not all games give out team information via server query.
Some games like nexuiz or crysis do, and team info is already implemented in LGSL, but others don't.

I did some research on various versions of Q3 type games and I found that there are differences.
When you query a Q3 1.16n server running CTF you won't get any team info at all, while Q3 1.32c only returns team scores, like "score_blue 6, score_red 0".
Some modified Q3 engines like 1.32d or ioq3 1.36 do return team info which could be interpreted by LGSL. ioq3 uses a pretty straightforward scheme to report which players are on the red team and which on blue, so it's totally possible to make LGSL display that info if someone would do the necessary adjustments to the lgsl_query_02() function.

So the short answer is: YES it's possible, but only for some engines (like ioq3) and it will require an updated lgsl_query_XX() function.
As for the standard Quake 3 engine, the answer is NO.

Don't forget to share the IP/ports of the offending server so that people can do tests and help you.
Oh, and if you're using a modified lgsl_protocol.php, make sure you disable the feed or it may NOT work!

You are totally right, and this is how you do it for wolfet:

You need to edit lgsl_protocol.php; under "function lgsl_query_02(...)", towards the end, find
}

//---------------------------------------------------------+

return TRUE;

and replace with
if (isset($server['e']['p'])) {
while ($team = lgsl_cut_byte($server['e']['p'],1)) {
if ($team == '-') { continue; }
elseif ($team == '1') { $team = 'Axis'; }
elseif ($team == '2') { $team = 'Allies'; }
else { $team = ''; }
$server['p'][$player_key]['team'] = $team; break;
}
}
}
if (isset($server['e']['p'])) { unset($server['e']['p']); }

//---------------------------------------------------------+

return TRUE;

This will make LGSL display team names (Axis/Allies) for each player on the server details page. Enjoy!

No, wolfrtcw servers do not report any information on teams.

You're welcome.
Those are quite different topics that have been discussed before.

Top players and statistics are discussed here, and I personally think it goes beyond the purpose of this script.
Showing color codes for server and player names is something I'm interested in too, and I've read here some ideas about it. I hope to try it some day.

I found these topics using the Search option at the top of this forum, as you should have. Good luck!
